Catering and Events

CHIPSHOP can supply food for your next party.  All our non-fried regular menu items are available for event service plus additional  British retro menu items are a nice party addition. 

Buffet food examples from our regular menu.  Hot items can be served in hotel pans with sternos to keep warm for up to 2 hours.  The following are some event favorites:

Beef Shepherd’s Pie
Mushroom Shepherd’s Pie
Vegetable Shepherd’s Pie
Macaroni Cheese
Stilton & Walnut Salad, House Salad
Rhubarb Crumble
Apple & Blackberry Crumble
Bangers, mash and onion gravy

British retro catering menu items evoke British parties of the 1970s:

Mini Cornish pastys - ground beef, onions & potatoes in shortcrust pasty.
Sausage rolls - Myers sausages rolled in all butter puff pastry.
Vol en Vents - 2.5”  puffed pastry shells with filling that can include Chicken salad, prawn and marie rose sauce, coronation chicken, mushroom & bacon and  herbed cheese
Rounds of assorted finger sandwiches - Served on white and seven grain bread. Mixed to include ham & cream cheese, smoked salmon & cream cheese, cheddar & pickle, cream cheese & cucumber, chicken salad and prawn cocktail.
Chipolata sausage hedgehog.  Real retro style! 30 chipolata sausages on sticks form the quills to a foil wrapped potato. Also available without “hedgehog.”
Cheese & pineapple hedgehog.  Real retro style! 30 mature cheddar cheese & fresh pineapple pieces on sticks to form the quills to a foil wrapped potato. Also available without “hedgehog.
Mini Tarts. Choose from cheese & onion, smoked salmon & cream cheese, leek and bacon or let us know what you fancy and we’ll give it a go.

We can supply fried items very locally but fried food travels terribly and we don’t want to deliver a bad representation of what we do best.

Everything is available “supply only” but for an additional charge we can provide all disposable dinnerware and plastic table cloths color coordinated per your choice.

We’re not an event company but CHIPSHOP owner Chris has (in a past life) organized and run huge events and has a lot of experience in this area. Some fun possibilities might include:

Frying fish & chips to order
A “chip butty” stand
Afternoon tea with sandwiches and scones served with clotted cream and jam
Themed parties such as:
“Harry Potter” - providing food favorites from this great book series
“Keith Richards” – no food at all, just bottles and bottles of scotch

With reservations, we can also host parties of 10-70 people Monday-Thursday at our Atlantic Avenue location.
